Overall, most people don’t remember the ice cream they ate years ago, but I guarantee that I won’t forget eating Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Ice Cream, EVER. I let it marinate on my taste buds for a moment and the first thoughts that came to mind were: unique, better than I expected, hint of cheese in a french vanilla ice cream. I dug my spoon into the pint, not really knowing what I should expect, and took a big bite. Now it was time for the most important test, taste testing. MACARONI AND CHEESE ICE CREAM MACThe ice cream is the exact same color as the Kraft Mac and Cheese so many love. The ice cream is a french vanilla that is used as the base and when I opened up the container that was that iconic Kraft Mac and Cheese color. I took a few big sniffs and I couldn’t discern a Kraft cheese smell, it was more ice cream. I set up our camera as I want to taste it on camera and give my initial reactions (We are all about keeping it real here at Tailgating Challenge). They added the craft cheese sauce mix, as one of the main ingredients, to add the flavor and color to the ice cream. One thing I was interested in was what exactly did they put in this ice cream to give it the mac and cheese flavor. Our shipment of 5 pints, that is minimum order to ship, arrived and there was still a giant block of dry ice in the cooler keeping the ice cream in perfect condition. The first one sold out so fast I couldn’t even get my order placed and they brought out a larger quantity for this next round. The world is eating up (literally) limited edition collaborations like this one. Then of course you also have the: Well Why Not? They believed they could properly blend the two flavors together that would make you say: “Wow this is actually pretty dang good.” They felt there was a way to bring the two together that would increase the smiles and WOW factor when you served this ice cream to your guests. The two companies mentioned that these are two comfort foods that seem to make people happy. ![]()
